Default Best SR shaving video I have ever seen, but question...

For a beginner, shaving as efficiently as this gentleman in the video is a goal some light year in the future. For some reason, I can't stop watching it :-)

Question: what kind of shaving soap/cream is he using?

I am not the first to post this in a link; I saw it the other day and thanks to the person who first posted it.

The video description says he is using Tabula Rasa cream.

Fwiw, I'm not a fan of his shaving technique.

I don't know if the technique is something that a beginner such as myself should try. However, it is amazing how proficient he is. I noticed he stretched the skin almost before each stroke of the razor no matter where he was on the face. There is still something mezmerizing about it.

Thanks for the tip on the soap; I didn't notice that.

Can't say I would recommend his form either as ther is a lot of dry shaving going on
Increasing the potential for shave rash and irritation
    JMHO YMMV

Otherwise it is a good blade and stretching technique vid

Interesting that he keeps the scales parallel with the blade rather than perpendicular.

I have Tabula Rasa shave cream. It makes a very rich lather but can be tricky to build.

Man,that blade is huge! I'm too green to argue with what obviously works for him, but it looks to me like he's choosing his stroke direction based more on what's comfortable for his dominant hand as opposed to the direction his hair is growing. I first noticed it when he went down on the right cheek, but then sideways on the left. But in the end he got a good shave and didn't pull a muscle slinging that giant blade around so it's all good
