Thread: My Dovo razor seems off

Newbie here. Got my first straight razor, and I noticed that one side of the blade starts rubbing up against the scales before it closes completely, meaning that there's tension on the blade. It seems that it's just not straight on the pivot pin, or perhaps the wood on the scales is warped. Either way, the pivot pin just compensates by bending in the other direction to close all the way. I wanted to check if you guys know whether or not this is OK, and what to do if it's not OK.
