    Default checking in....

Alrighty... the goodies have landed and I've been using the straight for the last three nights. First a couple of WTG passes on the cheeks up to tonight where it was two WTG passes over my whole face. Still finding my way with angle and pressure, I think I'm erring on the side of being too light with my strokes. I'm not used to the extra "grabbiness" with the longer blade. The razor should be good, (Dovo Bismarck 6/8 shave ready by Mr. Abrams), and feels plenty sharp.

Anyway...it's nice to be climbing a learning curve after whipping a Slant/Feather around my face with impunity. I've even made my first ebay razor purchases (a couple of cool Soviet straights, pics forthcoming when they arrive).

I'm on my way and all the straight razor ADs are setting in.

Congrats- lots of heavy RAD to deal with in this sport. I can see you with a W & B "Meatchopper" already.

Welcome aboard Brian. It's good to see more fellow-Canadians over here. DOVO Bismarck's a nice shaver (I have one) and Lynn's the grand-daddy of honing razors
