I am a relatively new user of these razors. I just joined your group today. I have always been into knives lately I have been moving on to shaving with one. I looked up some info on how to use them in various websites and I purchaced a cheap one on ebay. I really wish that I had seen this site before I followed this course. I happened to buy the brand that appears first on your list of razors not to buy..a zeepk razor starter kit. I do not mind the accidental cutting of the face here or there but the closeness of the shave sucks. I bought a stone from a antique shop and I got a leather belt because the honing strop that I got from the kit sucks. My girlfriend who lives with me is getting tired of me trying to use a straight razor due to once cutting myself right around the area of my carotid which scared the hell out of her and the look on her face made me laugh my tail off. Anyways, To the point. I am a 20 year old "starving college student." I could use some pointers. I have my crap razor, a cheaper badger brush, some soap in a coffee cup and a belt. Any help on cheaper razor brands and accesories that will do a good job will be most appreciated.
