I use both hands as well. I think at first it's tricky, like learning to do anything with your non-dominant hand, but muscle memory kicks in fast and I think it's worth taking the time to learn.

When I was a kid they made me switch from leftie to rightie. You know, some Commie teacher decided that lefties are not to be had. I apparently adapted very well, except for things such as:
- boxing & wrestling
- snowboarding (and similar - skateboarding, wakeboarding, wakeskating, etc.)
Anyway, when I started I decided to use both hands and am glad I did. It was a bit weird in the beginning
Cheers

I don't switch hands.
Using both hands is definitely the way to go. Once you really get comfy and don't have to reach across anymore, you'll love it.

I'm a leftie too, but I don't switch hands. (Yet anyhow; I've only been straight for a few months now ... )
I do, however, have an odd set of handedness too ... I golf and play hockey right-handed, baseball and football lefthanded. The few times I've picked up a firearm, it's always been lefthanded. Breast stroke with both hands whenever I get the chance. ;)
And yes, there are a lot of adaptations us lefties have to do for a right-handed world. No, I'm not seeking martyr status here ... I'm just sayin', is all.
I'd have thought that a commie teacher would have liked lefties ...
I could see that being ambidextrous is the ultimate goal, so my one-handed shave is not saying Lynn is wrong, just I'm not at his black-belt level yet. :bow
(PS: a tip for those wanting to try ... eventually: try brushing your teeth with your other hand, to start developing those motor skills.)
Also a lefty, but batting and golfing were right-handed, back in the day. I just missed the era when the parochial school nuns tried to get the left-handed kids to write using the right hand. Oddly, I always shaved with the right hand, when using a Gillette Sensor or equivalent. But now, using a straight, I switch hands easily, though the right hand still feels just a tad more confident with the shaving motion.
Nope - no switching hands. I do not trust my left hand.
I don't switch because my left hand has all the dexterity of a dead iguana :D
I advocate ambidextrous shaving, but have no need to practice it myself.
