Thread: HI everyone, purchasing online

Hi.

My name is Jean Defoy, Repentigny,qc Canada.

happy to be part of this wonderful community.

Recently I have been looking at great razors to buy outside of ebay.

I went ahead with one transaction and it is not going as I have anticipated. I am patiently waiting for my razor to show up (almost a month).

there have been some kerfuffle during shipping. some of it probably my fault.

This being said, I am know looking at another great razor but again outside Ebay.

I have to say my latest experience left me worried about sending away money with no guaranty I will see a razor.

How are you guys doing it? what happen when a transaction doesn't work a1?

We don't have any issues.

Hi Hirlau, what about buy/sell - individuals to individuals, members from the site?

That is what the BST is about. Members list their items for sale. I cannot remember any issues with it. Most all come shave ready. The BST section allows you to communicate directly with the sellers.

So, in the confine of the member list, I should be safe?

I've had only one issue with a member (no longer active as far as i know) but several good ones with others. i've met quite a few personally and can say honestly say that i trust them all and wouldn't hesitate to do business with them, (i guess there are bad apples in every bunch) I guess my point is, don't hesitate to buy from the classified.

Jdefoy66, if you have any issues with a purchase from this site, you can PM (Private Message) any of the Moderators.

You buy from the people you know, friends of friends, or if there are good references. If you're new, that makes it a bit difficult, but in time, you make friends and get to know the people. Meanwhile, buying from the BST section should be safe. Don't forget to exercise caution, always check who you're buying from (there is history and activity log on the forum) and use common sense. Welcome!

Bonjour Jean, and Welcome to SRP, There a member here named Badgister he lives in Montreal and sells quite a few razors on here, since your so close you should contact him. He is a fine member and also hones razors.
