Default What regrets do you have from your straight razor adventure

Was it a stone you didn't buy, a razor you dropped, or maybe a product you wish you didn't get.

My regret was spending 100$ on a razor strop set when I decided to start straight razor shaving. Later I found this forum when I was having trouble with razor and figured out it was a low quality razor. Rest of the trip has been smooth except for maybe for a few nice deals I passed up.

What regrets do some of you guys have?

I regret not starting to shave with a straight sooner - but I'm pretty sure we all do.

I regret starting with 2 inch wide hanging strops. I shredded more than one. Went to the 3 inch hanging and all has been good ever since. (I can use a 2 inch now too)

I regret leaving my nice strop that I got from Iz6 (Bob), tied to the hotel bathroom door in Saigon in 2015.
Realized it when I got home.
