Hello from Bangalore, India
Hello,
Thanks for accepting me to your forums.
I am new to the world of SER's and have been looking around the last few weeks, till I stumbled upon the SRP. What a store house of information and experience!
I am looking for your advice. I would like to go in for a razor that would suit a reasonably sensitive skin, a moderately tough beard and an inexperienced straight edge razor user. I am prepared to spend about $200 for the Razor, Strop and hone. If i can get a honed and ready to use razor, then the $ is for the razor and the strop.
I am partial to some of these that i list below, for no other reason than the looks and the rounded tip.
1. From Vintage Blades:

2. Straightrazorplace limited edition:

Thanks very much for your inputs gentlemen.
Tony Miller's Starter Kit
Gentlemen
I went with your advice and ordered a "Super Straight Razor Set" with both the hanging and paddle strops included. Of course the paddle strop will have 3 sides coated with abrasives. The set will find its way to India through a friend. I can't wait to get started.
Thanks for your valuable inputs. It is very much appreciated.
Thanks Tony for your superb service and patience in dealing with a newbie like me.
