I recently came into a dubl duck goldedge and I'd like to start using it. I am wondering about condition and whether or not I should hone or just strop and go... the face has lost some of the finish (there's a little rust showing through on one side). I was able to take some hair off of a finger, but I don't know how sharp it is. The box says replacement guarantee if not honed, so I'm reading that to mean honing wasn't considered necessary, but I don't know that that means until the end of time and I wouldn't trade for a replacement if I could. So, I'm wondering if the razor is in need of restoration or not. Appreciate the feedback and insights. This is my first shot at straight razor shaving and I'm trying to quell my excitement, take my time and do enough research to get it right. Thanks!
