Extremely uncomfortable shave after a few weeks
Hello all. I'm fairly new to the forum but I've been shaving for a couple months now. I have been using the "black ops grooming Black AF" straight razor with a cheap shaving kit that came with a brush, brush stand, shaving soap, etc. and have been stropping on a cheap $25 strip I found.
I recently went through TSA and had to mail out my razor and I haven't used it for a few weeks. In the meantime I've used a cheap dime a dozen 2 blade razor in its place.
Well my good razor came back today and I got it stropped up and ready to go as I did my normal routine; but for some reason I got a ton of drag and pain. It felt like it was pulling the hair then cutting rather than going straight through. What are some causes of this

The razor is not shave ready if it was shaving well before.

Sounds like a great time to contact someone to hone your blade. I am sure there are options near by.
