(Re)Introduction

Hi Guys,

I joined recently but was declared an un-person during the DB crash so I'm re-introducing myself.

I'm in my mid 30's and live in Brisbane Australia.

I have been collecting all the bits (Hones from Howard - thanks!) and I made myself a strop (I'm no Tony, but it works) and now I've been shaving with a straight for about a week.

I'm slowly getting better, and I think I have now sorted out my honing and stropping.

After reading much here and watching Lynn's DVD, I honed my razor and went for it. I spent a long time trying to sort out my honing on a practice razor and then shaved with it. It worked, but there was much room for improvement :)

I'm enjoying this challenge and looking forward to being able to get better and better shaves. :D

Welcome back! Glad to hear that you're doing
well, there's a lot of practice to be done with
your technique, stropping, and honing. Since
you are learning all of those at once, be sure
to hang in there!
