Thread: (Re)Introduction

Hi Guys,

I joined recently but was declared an un-person during the DB crash so I'm re-introducing myself.

I'm in my mid 30's and live in Brisbane Australia.

I have been collecting all the bits (Hones from Howard - thanks!) and I made myself a strop (I'm no Tony, but it works) and now I've been shaving with a straight for about a week.

I'm slowly getting better, and I think I have now sorted out my honing and stropping.

After reading much here and watching Lynn's DVD, I honed my razor and went for it. I spent a long time trying to sort out my honing on a practice razor and then shaved with it. It worked, but there was much room for improvement

I'm enjoying this challenge and looking forward to being able to get better and better shaves.

Welcome back! Glad to hear that you're doing
well, there's a lot of practice to be done with
your technique, stropping, and honing. Since
you are learning all of those at once, be sure
to hang in there!
