Looks like I will be making the leap to straight razor shaving! I've been DE shaving for a while now so I've got most of the gear such as creams and soaps and brushes (I'm waiting for a new scuttle to be delivered from Georgetown pottery).

I went out and purchased 4 straights from my local antique mall. I've sent out pm's and emails to some of the honemeisters and I anxiously await their replies regarding restoration and honing.

Of the four razors three are easily identifiable an one is not.

I paid $6.00 for the Boker, $6.00 for the Joseph Elliot, $60.00 (OMG did I really spend that much!) on the Genco and about $18.00 on the unknown model - it has purdy "pearl" scales.
