I have been thinking of delving into the world of straight razors for sometime now and I finally made the plunge for the first time this morning. Got my first straight in the mail yesterday and with the assistance of Dr Moss's manual I completed my first shave with a straight.

Only cut myself three times, and that was because I was not stretching my skin at all. Never mind the right direction got to remember to stretch the skin as Dr Moss tells me to do. I must say that this thing is better then the worst double edge shave that I have ever had. I need to admit that I am still using the double edge to touch up from the straight. Eventually my straight is going to take over from the double edge.

I guess that this is ok since its my first time doing the job and I do not have a Mrs who was a hair cutter like Navy Chief. My Mrs is a office worker.
