Default First CLOSE TO BBS shave with DISPOSABLE STRAIGHT

So today decided to go 3 passes (2 WTG, 1 ATG) and it came out EXCELLENT. Since my DOVO has been out for re-honing after one shave, I've been using my disposable straight for 3 weeks now, and they've given me excellent shaves! I'm really starting to favor the disposable guys -- no irritation or cuts at all, and incredibly smooth.

For the ATG: I went with a re-lather at first, but it was awful. So I just kept re-wetting my face (no lather) and it went excellent, nice and smooth.

I got BBS all over except for the chin area...I don't know how to go anything but WTG in that area I guess it will take some time.

Just thought I'd share with everyone!

    Well, congratulations. Nice work.

I too, don't lather up for shaving ATG. I just rinse my brush under the hot tap, swirl it over the shaving soap for half a second and slap the "lathery" water on my face. It gives me just the slickness I need for my ATG pass.
I only do one WTG pass, though.
I hope your Dovo arrives pretty soon. No shave like a shave with a real straight, imho.

    Way to go,

    Bart.

    Hey Gags!

I've been going over the chin area ATG for last 3 or 4 shaves. First, it's really helpful for me to go E-W/W-E towards the middle of the chin for the first go. I use a scything motion on this, and it gets almost everything.

Then, for ATG, I just start under the chin and go slowly (small strokes) up over the tip of the chin, making sure I stretch the skin REALLY tight. This gets pretty much everything for me. I also go ATG under the bottom lip.

    Hope this is helpful!

    ~Chris
