Thread: Humble Greetings

Hello, everyone. I would like to introduce myself as Viola and I am very happy to be making my first post on SRP. I've been a voyeur here but am now ready to greet everyone as a member. I'm new to straights, however, I've been afforded the opportunity to learn under a seasoned veteran... which is what I was anticipating. Straight razors have always appealed to me as long as I can remember, I am just quite selective and cautious of my teachers in new endeavors. The information I have found in this forum is priceless. I WILL be making a purchase, hopefully one of the beautiful pieces in the B/S/T section, as I am equally as selective of my tools and toys as I am of my teachers. Thank you all for your willingness to share your knowledge. It does not go unappreciated.

Welcome to SRP. That's great you have someone who can show you "the ropes". Videos have helped me a lot, but actually being able to watch someone who is experienced and be able to ask questions would be great.

Yes, I have witnessed his teachings and he is quite thorough in regards to technique and explanation. This is especially helpful considering it won't be my face I'm shaving, but a select few. I also realize this forum is predominantly a gentleman's forum. I suppose it didn't first occur to me because I am generally one of the very few women in most of my adventures. Please note I respect the integrity of the forum and I have a sincere appreciation for the finer things in life, especially things that provide beauty (to males or females), ritual, and tradition. I am versed on a variety of topics I found within this forum and that is what led me to become a new member. Again, thank you.
