Greetings, all.

I've made a couple of posts around and about this forum already, but it occurred to me that I haven't properly introduced myself. We can't have that, so here goes:

I am Bledge. My forum name is a contraction of "bleeding edge". Or maybe "bloody edge", with my current skill level. I decided to take the step to straight razor shaving in January, when I found that Gillette no longer carried the cartridges for my old handle, thus forcing an "upgrade" on me. Enough is enough.

I bought a brush and a cake of soap (Vulfix Super Badger and Crabtree & Evelyn Sandalwood, respectively) in short order. I also got a strop from Dovo and a small stick of stypt. This Monday, my new Dovo 5/8" spike point arrived in the mail, freshly honed by mr. Abrams and ready to go. A big thank you goes to that Honemeister for a job well done and a speedy delivery!

Seeing as I live in Norway, I can't keep sending my razor across the pond on a regular basis for honing, so I've acquired some hones as well. All set up for various acquisition disorders ... (Speaking of Norway -- those of you who visit the barbershop.no forum may know me as Rakakjake.)

What I've seen of SRP so far makes me think that I'm going to be a regular.

Thanks for listening, you may now return to your scheduled shaving activities.
