Well, my first straight shave has come to an end, and while I cannot say I did a good job (or even a moderate job), I did not maim myself.

Go WTG on my cheeks was easy, as is usually the case. I didn't realize before today how completely incompetent my left hand is, though. Hopefully that is something that will go away with time.

My neck actually went alright too (at least I think so, we'll see if I develop any burn, which is what usually happens).

I am at a loss at how to shave my chin. I can't seem to stretch the skin enough to be able to get all of my chain without having to actually shave on the jaw line. I'm going to have to look up some of the youtube videos about straight shaving (been a while since I last watched them).

Are there any guides anywhere (like shave sheets that I used to use for DE shaving) about specifically how to stretch the skin, in watch direction to shave, etc.?

Also, while WTG was ok...ATG or XTG was impossible. The blade jumped and got stuck and did all types of frightening things. I'm not really sure how to hold the razor for ATG either. Seems impossible to hold it the typical way and do XTG on the cheeks.

But all in all wasn't too bad. Looking forward to shave #2
