Thread: first acquisition

I've been like many thinking about going str8 for years, since finding my grandpa useless dovo (blave was chipped beyond repair) . i just started to work at a place that sells razors and we carry 3 different model and since i'll be paying cost price, tought it would be easier for me to get one of those (even tough the ''shave ready post has me double take that decision but still).

we have a solingen (no other detail than that) wich is pretty basic, black plastic, wich would cost me around 60$ (retail for 129$)

one i have'nt seen but is dubbed ''solingen dovo, scale (écailles in french) no pictures on the web site and would have to go to another store of the chain to actually see it'' wich would be around 105 $ (retail 189$)

and a henkel friodur(?) for 98$ (wich retail for 185$)

all prices are in canadian dollars and does not include the 15% taxes.

My question is would i really be having a deal paying those prices and buying a brand new shaver.

(my other biggest concern going with a razor from classicshaving.com would be my irresistible urge to by a really nice one and busting my budget wich is around a hundred)


other question, my boss told me to try the dannyco 'magic'' razor at first to try and see if i like to shave that way, would cost 10$ but still not sure would do the same.
