carbon steel or stainless

So what does everybody prefer and why ?:shrug:

:) I prefer both. I like Carbon because it's easy to hone, I like stainless because they tend to stay sharp longer and resist rust. (my travel razor is stainless).

I like old razors pre 1920 I don't think they had Stainless then. The old ones are easy to put a good edge on with a 4000 / 8000 Norton. :tu

I've always preferred the edge I can get with carbon.

the steel doesn't matter to me much, the razor does.

Another vote for carbon steel - but I have some very nice SS razors as well :D

I have no preference. A good razor is a good razor.

Carbon steel for me. It feels better on my skin.
