    Default Stropping

I am wondering if I can save myself a few minutes with my morning shave by stropping the night before? Is it ok to strop a razor the night before or is there some reason to strop right before shaving?

    Thanks in advance

It is ok to strop the night before, but your idea to save a few minutes seems to go contrary to straight shaving!

    JMS,

I agree. No desire to rush the project, just thought if I could stropp my razor the night before, I could spend a few extra minutes preparing my face or working on improving my shaving technique.

When you put it in that light, I can find no fault with your logic!

My shaving got an estimated 50% better when I started stropping AFTER I lathered up. The extra time the lather spends on my face helps a lot.

    Default I agree with Ookla!

Leaving nice warm lather on your face for the few extra minutes whiles stropping really lets the lather do its work as far as softening hair, and stimulating glands in the face (which also helps lube the skin a little).

Also, by stropping just before shaving, you're ensuring that you're razor is as "fresh" as it possibly can be.

Stropping while the the lather works is like killing two birds with one stone! That extra time is great for skin prep, and again, freshest edge possible!

    Happy Shaving!
