Well, after reading the replies to my post about sharpening, I read lots of posts about hones and decided that I was holding myself back by not having some. I was considering sending out my razors for another sharpening, but when will that end? I enjoy shaving with a straight and I want to REALLY enjoy shaving with a straight. I need to learn how to hone.

Now, back to my complaint. I just bought a Shapton 4K, 8K, and 16K set, along with a DGLP. Ouch! Three months ago, I'd never even heard of Shapton, and I didn't know what a lapping plate was. Now I own $500 worth of them.

Your punishment for all this will be to answer my questions about honing as well as you've answered my questions about shaving!
