Thread: Joseph Elliot Straight Razor

Hey Cats,
Newbee here with a question. Found this at a thrift store for $10 and just had to buy it. It's a beautiful Joseph Elliot straight razor in very nice condition with box, the handle looks to be made of either bone or ivory with Elliot's crest embedded. the blade is stamped "Joseph Elliot Best Silver Steel" with his makers mark a reverse c, an iron cross and then a proper facing c .
I bought this for a pal of mine who collects these and would like to know something about when I present it to him. Info like, age, rarity, handle material, blade material, importance of maker etc.
