Thanked: 17The Lazy Shave (a warning to newbies)
I didn't much feel like shaving today, and since my job doesn't require me to be clean shaven, I SHOULD HAVE skipped it.
So I get to my neck and rather than lift my chin to the sky and stretch my skin like I usually do, my lazy arse decides to shave with my chin parallel to the marching surface and no stretching...
i look like i attempted suicide. for those of you who didn't know that razors like to eat skin, it's their favorite delicacy. fortunately, all of my wounds are just razor wide cuts instead of ravines.
The Lesson: Don't skip corners when shaving with a straight razor.

Thanked: 363Today and yesterday have been my worst shaves, I have 3 visible scratches on my face.
First one, was when my 14th month old barged into bathroom yelling daddy and slammed into my leg and I held fast so as not to drop the blade, but I dropped my concentration and dug into my cheek.
Second one happened a day later I was using two straights to shave, started with a Wapi and finished with a FW Engels, and well the spike point dug into my chin, that was me rushing the job.
Third happend today I didnt even feel it at all. On my neck its minor but still a nick. I guess Im starting to strop better as the blade is getting much sharper and so the consequence is being raised too..lol
cheers
D
