Hi everyone!

I'm a 23 year old college student from Ohio, USA, and I've been interesting in straight shaving for awhile, but finally was able to get a razor. I'd been shaving with soap and a brush for about a year, and decided to take the next step and buy a straight razor and trade up from my mach 3. I purchased a shave-ready blade off e-bay, and just tried it out today (just shaved the sides of my face). It came out pretty well, but it showed me I've still got alot more to learn. I'll be poking around here as shaving with a straight razor becomes more familiar, and hopefully I wont get all cut up .

I got a 5/8' rounded tip with a black celluliod handle, the engraving says " W. Everetz & Sohne (the rest is covered by the handle) Grafrath-Solingen. I wasn't able to find out much about it, anyone have any ideas? I know it's vintage, and made in Germany, thats about it (and was the two main things I looked for I bought it). I'll post pics as soon as I get some.
