When shaving with a straight razor, don't lightly tap your face with the razor to be sure you have it positioned properly.

That's a habit I picked up DE/SE shaving. Much like a golfer touching the ground with the head of the club to be sure he is addressing the ball properly.

I have a genetic defect that destroyed my binocular vision so I have a hard time judging near-in distances and go by other clues when needed. Any others out there with this problem? Perhaps vision in only one eye?

Anyway, now that I am aware of that little habit I can try to avoid it. But it is something I do without thinking.
