    Default First razor a Wapi

Just bought it from Kenrup - seems the perfect starter razor/strop combo. Can't wait to try out the straight razor! I'll take it slowly as suggested in the newbie stickies, but can't help but be a little anticipatory.

Great Start. A sharp razor and a decent strop. Even has CrO on one side for touchups(if it is the one i'm thinking about)

    I like my wapi..

You’ve done well, Grasshopper. I have a number of razors of much higher pedigree than my Wapi and that little devil stands toe to toe with all but a few of them and better than most.

You will no doubt have many razors, yet you will find that the Wapi will always be like your first love. You will remember many special shaves you shared together and unlike that first love that is gone, your Wapi will be there ready to shave when you are.

Shave twice already with the new Wapi. Ken sends a pretty good instruction sheet - easy to read and understand. Haven't really cut myself but did nick a bit under my nose. I just am taking it easy.

I find it hard to see what I'm doing in the mirror (especially since I wear glasses) but am learning to "feel" my way around with the razor without cutting myself.

The Wapi truly came shave ready! I've only stropped it after each shave a couple dozen times - slowly as Ken instructs so as to develop the muscle memory.

Anyway, I'm still pleased but definately on the learning curve.

I just got a Wapi & strop from KenRup as well and i can't say enough great thing about the equipment, warranty or my dealings with Ken. He is a stand-up guy and I would purchase again from him in a minute!

Like a few others I also just got a Wapi and strop from Ken. Great deal, great service. My first straight razor, gonna get some more. Congrats on a good buying decision. I love mine so far.
