Most serious straight-related injury?
I ordered a new straight recently and am currently waiting for it to arrive. When my wife found out I was going to try it out, she got very worried that I would seriously injure myself. Now, I realize that people have been shaving with straights for many years and the chances of serious injury must not be very high. I will pose the question though: what's the most serious cut you've ever gotten with a straight? I figure if I can tell my wife some war stories that didn't end in serious maiming she might worry less about the whole thing. :)
Below: what appears to be the worst-case straight razor injury (and possibly what my wife is envisioning).

Thanks for all the stores
I'm not sure if reading the posts would set my wife at ease, but it's sure given me plenty of laughs. It's amazing what you can do to yourself if you aren't paying attention. Just a couple of weeks ago I managed to give my finger a good slice with one of our razor-sharp carbon steel kitchen knives. How did I do this, you ask? I was chopping green peppers when I turned my head to say something to my wife... and wham, a nice slice that bled a lot but didn't end up being that bad in the end. It was probably my brilliant performance with the knife that led to her concern with the straight razor.
Incidentally, like many on this forum, the worse cut I ever had while shaving is also the result of a Mach 3. I was running late for an appointment in college and for some reason I will never understand I tried to remove some shaving cream that had gotten on my ear with the razor blade. I think my ear bled for close to 15 minutes. I've never even come close to cutting myself that bad with a DE.
