So this morning, while having my best straight shave yet I hit the blade of my Wapi on the faucet. Nicked it real good. Mad doesn't quite explain it.

Ouch, that sucks. :cen
you learned quite cheaply i must say.
I manage ok with a wide open sink (more bowl than a standard sink). I fill it half way with hot water and turn it off then use the bowl to do all my rinsing, cleaning, rewetting, etc.

I hate it when that happens...
Do you think it is still reparable?
I've dinged a couple of my razors just a tiny bit and I got one razor with a couple of minor chips missing and they all honed out pretty good..
Good luck..

been there, done that. good excuse to buy a hone.:gl:
honestly, i have read quite a few stories where as new shavers we did that with their 1st good razor. sucks waiting to get that thing back.
going on a few years now and have not done that again though.
vgod
Did the same on my first razor, a Wapi. :gaah:
Dude,
Sorry to hear about that. It is an important safety tip for me as I start down the SR shaving path this week.
