Ouch. When I dropped my Wapi I managed to avoid the reflex but it fell on hard bathroom tile taking a nasty chip out of the tip. Another kind of ouch. I healed my damage about three months later, trust yours will disappear a tad quicker.

A dozen or so years ago I was hauling buggy on a Schwinn Paramount dérailleur bicycle. I tangled with a Cadillac pulling out of a parking place. Hit the guy's left front fender and I went clean over the hood and slid on the asphalt on my ribs and my right elbow.
The first thing I was worried about was how the bike was. :gaah: It was okay and I was a bit worse for wear. Good thing you didn't cut the new strop. :)
Ah, Leighton. I hope the cut isn't too bad. Or will you be forced to use a DE? :D
Actually, last summer I dropped my W&B while stropping and the very instant I felt it slip from my fingertips I instinctively leapt back and let it fall. It landed right on the tip, almost stuck in the hard wood floor and gave me a tiny ding in the edge. I couldn't get to my stones for weeks, but honed out.

Two weeks ago knocked my favorite TI off the sink, it was closed but somehow the edge still suffered a very little damage in one place. I could not sleep the next night, thinking why am I so stupid. This was the second time I 'drop' a blade, first time it was a Boker when I was polishing it about a year ago.
My TI will hone out but still not a very pleasant experience.... need to be more careful not just shaving, but handling razors in general.
It must be going around. I dropped my Platinum this morning. I tried to catch it but just missed. Nced the blade pretty good.
I'm sorry to hear about your hand, I hope it heals quickly for you.
Dropping razors must be going around. I'm a beginner user and the other night after shaving with my DOVO it slipped and fell to he floor. I luckily didn't try to catch it, now I have to hone out a small nick near the tip. Any advice for a new guy?
