Greetings, I have just joined this wonderful forum!

In recent weeks, I've become extremely fascinated with the world of straight razors. I've always admired their classy nature, but what has really kicked me into wanting to get one now is my increasing awareness of how much safety razors suck.

Within the past half year or so, my facial hair has finally started to grow in thicker and at a quicker rate. Safety razors feel rougher now, clogging up more often, and leave me with a really incomplete feeling like it's not shaving as much off my face as it could (and I'm getting fresh stubbles the next day). I love the idea of being able to have complete, precise control with a straight razor. I've also always thought the whole concept of new safety razors adding extra blades was a huge gimmick; I'm certain one, sharp blade is all a person would ever need.

So there's my introduction and ranting aside. Anyways, I've been doing a lot of research into straight razors and looking around for one to buy. I checked Craig's List and found some antique store owner selling out their inventory and they have a Union Razor Cutlery Southern Queen for sale for $15 and labeled as still in box. Is this a decent razor for a beginner and worth getting (assuming it doesn't have any significant problems)? Should I request the seller for pictures and post them here?

Thanks for any help.
