Thanked: 0Yep, another newbie
Ive been lurking for a little while now reading as much as I can. I found this site while trying to find out how to avoid the nasty ingrown hairs... Between that and the pain/cost Ive always had to deal with using Mach3 type razors (and the two horrendous electric attempts) I think using a straight might just be the solution.
I have been using a disposable blade straight for the last week. Since I wasn't sure if it would be right for me it was an inexpensive way to try out the shaving part of using a straight...
I have never been able to shave back to back days in the past but did so with ease between yesterday and today. My fiance loves it because I rarely shave so It's time to order the real thing! I have been getting a respectable shave overall-- still do not have the tech for just under the jawline right yet but its getting there. I also have a goatee so I don't have to worry about the upperlip or chin...
Thanks to everyone who makes this site a great source of information

I have frequently run into men such as cryan and they have freqently told me that their GFs or fiancee's love the fact that they shave with a straight, the women seem to think its real manly to shave with a straight.

Thanked: 293My GF looks at me like I have 7 heads. Doesn't stop me though. I'll feel my own face if she doesn't.

My Mrs thinks that I have nine heads for shaving with a straight.
