Newbie introducing himself
Just introducing myself, I have been lurking here for at least two months. I decided this morning I would finally introduce myself.
I have been using DE and SE razors since August but just started using straights in the last month. I have been using the modified double arrow that JimR was working on.
My other gear includes an unmarked 1/2 straight that came in a United States Razor Co. box. Looking at online sites, the razor matches others that are similarly marked. It has an uneven hone, and will need to be worked on at some point, but I will probably use it to learn honing, myself at some point in the future. I have a Swaty and a hanging strop (made by a friend at TSD). In regards to soaps, I have the usuals, Trumpers, Truefitt, Tabac, Erasmic, Irisch Moos, etc... and a variety of A/S that I use as well. For brushes I have a DIY restored brush (ever-ready handle and golden-nib knot), a Body Shop synthetic, and VDH boar).
Currently my straight shaves are coming along. I can get a decent shave in three passes with some touch up. However, I am still very awkward at making a E-W or W-E pass.

From one newbie to another welcome. I'm already learning that if you have a question and can't find the answer just ask and someone will help you.
