3 and counting...
lol
Don't buy a second! All this will do is start the RAD (Razor Aquisition Disorder).
I was fine with just one, used it for 2 months never wanting another and then I said to myself: "Self, let's get another razor."
6 razors later I still cruise the classifieds looking for a deal. My advice is go cheap <$100, that way you don't feel too bad about collecting a small fortune in razors.
Dude, you've gotta be kidding me.You've been a member since '07 and you've got ONE razor?Your self-discipline is admirable.
I have six, this gives me a one week rotation - I shave Monday-Friday mornings and Saturday evenings. I'm not a collector so six is all I need.
I have 3, with different grinds (full hollow, half hollow, quarter hollow)

14 here which gives me a good rotation
Over 50 and still counting. I have one in the mail as we speak.
Yep, only have one at the moment and its out for sharpening with Lynn Abrams at the moment and I have been a member of these forums for approximatly 2 years. This takes a little explaining to truely understand. Acquired a razor in 07 and shaved with it for approximatly a month, then lost interest, picked it up again in spring 08 and used it for another month then went back to my safeties. Wasn't until June 09 when I started having a bit of luck using my straight and took it to a family reunion and sucessfully shaved in a hotel bathroom with the straight, crampt though it was. Liked it so much and was having a lot of luck so I sent it out to Lynn Abrams for sharpening, explaining to the Mrs that its easier to keep the blade sharp then to take it from dull to sharp.
I am getting Straight Razor withdrawl now since my beloved Inox left for sharpening.
Ain't counted lately. Over a hundred and two on the way as I type this..... certainly enough to shave with but not enough to be satisfied.
I have somewhere in the 20's with only about 8 restored and ready to go. I need more!!!!
Mrs sat on it snapped it in half.
Down to 8. A good # considering my razor holders (pipe stands) have 8 holes.
i got my first 2 razors on here, which got me totally addicted.
after that i went on a razzor frenzy.
My Razors - a set on Flickr
now ive got over a dozen, a couple dozen soaps and creams, a couple dozen aftershaves and colognes
5 that I have in my rotation, plus 4 more that I haven't decided what to do with. That's the reason I haven't been on the bay in quite some time for razors. :)
I have two here, one with Max awaiting new scales. Meh.
Twenty or so. I have five or six that are always ready to choose from, with another on it's way. I'm thinking i may cut back & just keep the one's i truly love!
8 so far, and I haven't even bought one. They were all gifts. I have one on the way to get honed, depending on how the shaves go, I will probably send two or three out for honing as well...
I guess not paying for razors makes it easier to acquire hones, strops, etc...
(don't tell my wife!)
3 for now. As soon as the budget loosens up I will probably wreck the loosened budget. Oh well; extra cash doesn't shave my face.:)
Ive got 17 total.
B&B LE Le Grelot
7 Day Kobar Set
Bill Ellis Sheffield Ivory Scaled
Some None Restored Sheffields I am working on
One the way....Damascus RW Custom
So far I find my Le Grelot to be my best over all.
I have 11 right now. Was planning on getting a couple more to round out the 2-week rotation but I lost in Vegas so my Dovo and TI will have to wait.
OH! And I have a Genco out for restoration by Max. How could I forget that?
EDIT: Crap. Vegas ruined my brain too, apparently. That's 12, then isn't it? I need my abacus. Yeah. 12.
Jeez,JB guess you and her are both lucky the razor was the only one wounded.........Quote:
Mrs sat on it snapped it in half.
This had me thinking... where are the ones I got to work on...
I think I have 18 at the moment 15 shave ready and a few blades looking for new dresses :p
Only 3 with a Dovo on the way from vintage blades. Hoping to eventually have 7, and never purchasing again after that!
Sure,that'll work!:roflmao:roflmao:roflmaoQuote:

You'll have to stay off the forum,ebay,etc........
I have 13 more-or-less ready to shave, including 3 Double Arrows and 3 Wapis. Six pretty nice vintage blades (Torrey, Morley, ERN, Hess, etc.) and my only bought-new razor, the Dovo Renaissance.
I have about 10-12 others in various stages of restoration.
Shoot for 365 because that way your daily rotation will never end. I am up to 38, but I have about 5-6 throw-aways.
26 I think, 12 are shave ready, some restos, maybe one that will not survive... We will see
Well, since I just started last month. I only have 9...5 are restored,1 was N.O.S.(Westor Bros.Steel King) the other 3 are on my work bench.:o This is very addicting.
I've been at this about a month too. I was up to 8, but then the Mrs decided she wanted one for her legs...back down to 7.
2 are new Dovos from SRD, the rest I got at antique stores. I've only shaved with 3 of the vintages so far.
My W&B is off getting purdy walnut scales put on it.
I only have 3 now. I had more, but decided to minimize and keep the ones I liked the most. :tu
20 Days in and I now have 7. Still using one , 2 more ready for sharpening , 4 more beginning to rework. As if I didn't have enough to keep me going. I'm searching the web right now trying to find an extra 3 or 4 hours a day. Any idea where to find them?
I only have 50, I only started in January 2009, all shave ready and in mint condition. Juan.
I was fine with one for about 2 months until I bought my second. Which quickly turned into 4, and hopefully 5 by the end of the month.
Three at this point, though only two are shave-ready.
I should have another in a few weeks.
Hopefully I stop there (yeah right!!)
