Hello, I'm also new here
Hello!
Allow me to introduce myself: I'm Johan from a small town near Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Almost a year ago I bought my first straight razor, trying to get rid of the rash on my face I got from shaving with the modern razors. It worked, I get a lot less bumps, but the whole thing grew out into a hobby. Now I have 10 razors, even a set for every single day in the week, and a lot of soaps (Tabac, De Vergulde Hand, Mama Bears), Creams (Also Tabac, De Vergulde Hand, Bartex and a German brand with herbs and minerals), different shavingbrushes and a whole collection of After Shaves (Again Tabac, Old Spice (Not in stores in Holland for years)). Due to a nasty scar on my chin, I have to admit that I use a double-edged safety razor for that spot.
I hope to find good tips for using and repairing my collection.

Welcome to SRP Johan. Good to see a 'new' guy who already has RAD. :D (razor acquisition disorder)

Thanks, I bought the set a couple of weeks ago, unfortunately there is a little crack in the blade of thursday and I still have to resharpen them. The set is almost not used, and except the thursday blade in excellent condition.

i like kropp razors, the one i had was nice and smooth.

In or a penny, in for a pound! I rounded up a nice collection of straight shaving paraphernalia and it has become a small hobby.
Tell the ladies a better story behind that scar, such as you got it sparing with an MMA fighter.
