Making the Switch - Mach 3 to Straight Razor
With the economy the way it is due to past and now current federal officials and our overall government leaders ignorant decisions and willing to make the people of the United States slaves to financial terrorists aka (banksters) through just plain insane over spending. I and my family have been making a lot of changes in order to save money and prepare for what appears to be a dark future. Overall this is just about that old boy scout slogan "Be Prepared".
We've done the few year food storage thing and been storing water in 50 gal. drums. Built a green house to start growing fruits, grains and vegetables on our own. Been stocking up on guns and ammo since the constitution of the united states and the oath our federal officials to honor preserve and protect the constitution just doesn't seem to mean anything to anyone any longer.
And now its time to go back to our roots and begin to use the Straight Razor. The plastic razors I and the wife have been using for just a few years now since I haven't had to shave that long (2 years now) are just too dang cheap and repetitively expensive. When you step back and look at whats going on over the course of a lifetime you waste a ton of money on the Mach 3 whatever Bologna I'm a sucker too through great advertising. Sure they are easy to get and use but so wasteful over time when you really sit down and think about it.
So its time for us to upgrade permanently to the Straight Razor. With that being said I need some advice from the pro's I've read the beginners guides and seen all the options and I know I need to invest in not only a few Straight Razors for myself and the wife but we need a hone to keep them sharp every few years and lastly we need a strop. The Soap and lather etc we feel we got covered. Mostly were looking for the right tools to last a life time. What matters to me as much as preformance is durability. Not looking for anything gold plated really. I'd rather spend the extra funds on ammo or guns as I am a pretty big gun collector now (inspired by Obama).
So straight up what straight razors, strop, and hone will we be satisfied with and depend on to last us a lifetime?
Maybe there's a great starter/lifetime kit I haven't seen for sale somewhere.
Thanks for your time
