Default I'm really impressed with the quality...

....people who are members on this site. From the creator to the moderators to the members, new and not so new, I'm grateful to have come across this site. It renews my faith in what I've always believed to be more true, than not, and that is that people are mostly good and want to do good.

In such a fast paced "me me world", it's great knowing there are still people out there who love sharing in their passions and are generous with their expertise , wisdom and knowledge of all things to do with straight razors. This site is a great example of the best of human nature.

    Just saying....

and just saying thanks to all who have helped me so far. If I hadn't of lost my job, I would be shaving right now, but as it stands, I have to take things more slowly and build all the necessary pieces to start straight shaving one by one. That's okay, because there's lots to read here in the meantime and I look forward to learning all I can until the time I can afford a strop and then a hone. I used to be the one to sharpen the knives at home, because my mother was afraid of them, and I quite enjoyed it as a teen. Watching clips of Lynn on YouTube honing makes me want to not only take up straight shaving, but I think I might end up doing restos one day, too. This is becoming an obsession for me. I can feel it in my bones and I don't even own one strop or any hones. But I do have a couple of blades, that look like the might be pretty good shavers, once they are honed.

Anyway, thanks again to everyone who makes this site what it is: a real joy to visit. I love learning new things......especially when they are actually old, and time honoured traditions.
