...to find that I've bought a Bartman single beveled straight. I'm a absolute Newbie to wet shaving so forgive the naivete, but how do I hone and strop this thing? Is it exactly the same as I would a double beveled razor? I'd rather not ruin the blade, state of the art strop, practice strop, or four-sided pasted paddle strop I've aquired.

Ya I went nuts in the last two weeks including studying this board 5 hours a day. I have a sizable pile of creams, soaps, aftershaves, and styptic pencils/gels as well; and I haven't even straight razor shaved yet. I think I need medical help.
