i have recently decided to take up using a straight razor, a friend came across an old fredrick reynolds razor, with the barbers notch. the engraving is neat considering the times. it says e plurubis eunim. more to the razor, i am wondering if a fredrick reynolds is a reasonable starter razor. any info would help, and am also looking for a honemeister close to my area in the eastern panhandle of wv
That a cool statement, I think it means although there are many, this is the one! But I not a true translater.
Check out services on SRP. Lynn the founder of SRP does honing and is the highest man on the honing totem pole. He honed all of my shave ready new razors.

pabster, i agree with you its a cool statement, but also remember look at the reverse of a one dollar bill, if you look at the eagle on the right side, the ribbon he is holding in his beak say the same thing

That looks like Latin. Well, not really Latin. Maybe Latin with a lot of typos. "Plurubis" is "pluribus", making "e(x) pluribus" "out of many". Could you check if "eunim" is something like "unum"?Quote:
