Weepers

I'm curious what causes these weepers I keep getting? Im not to bothered by it just wondering if I can improve something somewhere. Thanks.

Ease up on the pressure. Watch your razor angle. Evaluate your overall shave technique and pattern. Have patience. Focus on what you're doing: Focus on the moment. Make sure your razor is well stropped and sharp. Also make sure your preparation is thorough. Keep at it. The process takes time, but then time is on your side.

Don't know how long you have been using a straight but after a while if you do nothing at all the numbers of weepers will diminish because you are getting rid of all the annoying dry and rogue clumps of cell. Excellent advice with letting up on the pressure. I personally like a razor that is sharp enough to give me an occasional weeper.

IME, a heavy hand causes the weepers. You're probably slicing off little pimples or "clumps of skin" as Riooso called them. When I use a light enough touch, I can shave over little zits without them coming off - though I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not...?

+1 on heavy hand. You can double-check to see if you're using the right pressure by using some alcohol-based aftershave.

Keep this in mind. Those bars on the front and back of the disposables keep the skin stretched under the blades, but to accomplish this, you have to push the razor against the face. Fast forward to the straight...you're using one hand to do the stretching, so there's no need to use a heavy hand. Focus your mental energy on just using enough pressure on keeping the blade on your face and nothing more and you'll be surprised that it cuts hair just as easily as bearing down on it.

I get weepers from not doing XTG before WTG, but it's so mild that I don't even care.
