Thanked: 1Del1,
i am ordering a dovo & strop from SRD. The plan is once i see and feel what areally sharp blade feels like to then hone my ebay blade myself. I am pretty intuitive and a quick learner so honing is a skill that i can learn fairly easily. I already own a series of norton hones so learning the skills should be fairly easy. Thanks for your help.

Just out of curiosity.. Did you get it from altima_55 on ebay?
Anyway.. Fox Cutlery is a marking that was used by Koeller & Schmitz Cutlery company. Solingen Germany. (1884-1955)
I have one of their Fox razors as well.

Thanked: 0Your New Fox
Good luck with your Fox. Being new to straight razors you might want to look into sharpening techniques. There is a great write up on the "Scarey Sharp" technique of sharpening Razors , Wood Chisels etc.
I have had excellent results using this technique.
Good luck.
