Thanked: 6Second Shave...
Hey, guys.
I started a thread a few days ago that detailed my first shave experience. As per the wise advice, I only did one pass under each of my sideburns for the first shave. Just one small nick and no razor burn. I had four or five days worth of growth, and I did experience just a bit of pull, but figured it out before the end of the shave.
Yesterday was my second shave, and I fully shaved both cheeks. No problems at all. I had two days of growth, and the razor handled it better than the four or five days of growth...but that's certainly just my inexperience. The razor seems to be plenty sharp as I purchased it shave-ready and have stropped it before and after the shaves.
I've got some Castle Forbes' "The Pre-Shave" that I keep forgetting to apply before I put my lather on my face. Need to get in the habit of doing that. So far, I've found high quality creams treat my face better than soaps.
So what next...the neck? I figure I shouldn't add the upper lip & chin for at least a few more shaves.
