Thread: A marathon not a sprint

A word of encouragement to our beginners and new friends on this Forum.

I started shaving with a straight two years ago , and after a year was ready to pack it all in and go back to a Mach 3 , however pride made me persevere and I am now getting excellent shaves each and every time.

I've gone through a variety of grinds / soaps/ creams etc but have come to the conclusion that no one particular type of razor is better for than another, it's all about prep, making good lather and most importantly ensuring that my razor is the sharpest it can possibly be.

Technique had to be learned and as they say Rome wasn't built in a day. The satisfaction that now comes from knowing that I will never buy another throw away cartridge is immense.

So stick with it guys, be patient, read this forum and eventually you will get there.
