First of all, let me introduce myself. I'm from Northern Idaho, age 28, and finally decided to take the plunge into straight razor shaving. I was inspired because my father always uses a straight razor. I know my grandfather did from what i remember as a kid. As a result I decided it was time to get a real shave.

I was able to get an old strop and honing stone from my dad and went down to the local antique store and picked up a few because they were a good price as compared to ebay.

How are these brands: I'll get some pictures taken and get them posted
1) D.N. Walford Washington DC Made in Germany (the other side says Jubilee)
2)Imperial Razor CC. New York-Germany ( Blade says Extra Hollow Ground Fully Warranted)
3) The Canadian Sales Co Trade Mark Toronto (Other side says REVA)
4) M. Jung New York M.I. Germany (other side says No. 80)

I was able to get all four for about $30. Two of them looked like they were never used and the first one has a beautiful scale. The M. Jung has white scales with the inlaid nickel emblems held in with the pins.

Next week a local barber is going to show my how to hone and strop them correctly. He in his 70's and very excited to show me how.

Look forward to great topics.
