I have officially dulled my first razor
It has been about seven shaves and I have already dulled the blade. I believe I have been stropping incorrectly and not letting the strop do the work.
I was expecting this at some point but I didn't think it would come so soon. The edge isn't ruined or damaged, it just isn't the same razor it was when I got it. Towards the end of my shaves it would start to feel more like a pull then a cut through my whiskers and today's shave I got about half-way finished. I let it go and finished with the Mach3.
I still got a good shave since I was going for my second pass when I had to switch razors, if I had continued I would've nicked my chin for sure. This is great timing for a honing touch up since my first 12k is in the mail.
We shall see.

The 12k should get you straightened right out. Just do 10 or 15 passes,re-strop (carefully and correctly),and shave test.Repeat if necessary.

I have done the same thing. Used a Swaty to get the edge back. Stropping takes some time to learn, don't get frustrated.

Well, it's not just about the strop doing the work. You have to hold the razor and strop properly and apply the correct force or lack of.
Like everything else it just takes practice. It's good to practice with a butter knife or junk razor just to get the stroke and feel down and then move on to a functioning razor. No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero
