That's far more like you should be aiming for. Very good. Don't forget a strop.

My experience has shown me that most razors are carbon steel unless the seller specifically says that its stainless steel. If you want stainless (I love stainless) I would stick to Dovo Inox or the Double Duck both of which are stainless.
Wow I never knew the Google Translator could translate into such great English. I am going to have to use that more.
I say NO to this razor. Hope you did not buy it, that would be a waste of money. For a little more money you already have a nice razor in the classifieds.
Hello, Tomsky:
Clauss is a good name, and from the photo, that Clauss looks good. How good is it I don't know, because sometimes it is hard to tell from a photo.
If I were a newcomer and doing this, however, I still would buy a new starter Dovo or similar razor, shave ready, from one of the vendors here. I would be sure with what I am getting.
And, yes, as our good friend ben.mid points out, don't forget a strop.
Regards,
Obie
Thank you very much.
I do not know whether I'm ready for the razor. ;)
I would really like to try. :D
I read exactly the Wiki:)
I will remember about sharpening and strop :)
Dovo very good, but expensive;)
I want something to start with.
If you shave with a razor, not like me.
It will not be sorry.
However, I know.
How to buy it cheap.
I bad to shave.
And then be discouraged.
I am still looking for something good and not expensive. ;)
Again, sorry for my english;)
After reading many topics and opinions.
I made the purchase of a razor;) for the entire $ 13.
It is China's razor "GOLD DOLLAR 66".
This razor is the successor to "DOUBLE ARROW", which has a very good opinion and is recommended "to the beginning."

I'm a big fan of Chinese watches (I have about 20;)) and are very good (these are not fakes).
And I hope that I will be happy with my razor. ;)
Now I'm looking for water stones.
I'm sorry to say that you would have been happier with that Clauss. They are excellent razors and that one appeared to be in phenomenal condition, and the price was excellent given its condition. The Gold Dollar, like the Double Arrow, often require work to make them usable. You probably will need to grind down the heel stabilizer and be careful with the blade on the scales. Many of them do not fully cover the blade, so the edge pokes out the underside of the scales. You will also need to have that one honed.
OK but price ended on 65 $.
I'm not ready for the old razor for that amount.
This razor for $ 13 is not the end of my purchases, I am sure.
Looking at local antiques markets.
If I take a razor to shave, I'm ready to buy this:
brzytwa Dovo 5/8 HEBAN INOX [415835] - 399.00*PLN : Razors : Maszynka Brzytwa Żyletka - akcesoria do golenia
This price is $ 133.
But not now, just take a look as if I can shave and if I'm going to like it.
