    Default Is it carbon steel?

    Sorry for my English.
    I use google translator
I want to buy the first razor.
This is my first post and I want to greet everyone.
I do not want to pay much.
I do not know if I like it.

    I have a question.
    Is it carbon steel?

It is a razor with ebay for $ 23.
    I know it's cheap.
I do not expect anything good, but maybe at the beginning will be OK.

Welcome to SRP. As to the razor in question, i cannot give advise because i have never heard of the brand. You can go to the wiki and look at the razors to avoid list and that will help in your search for a good quality razor. I do not know how to link that page to this post but i am sure that someone will post here that knows how to do it.

You can also go to the classifieds here and search for a quality, shave ready razor.

    in your straight razor experiences.

    OK.
    The brand is virtual
I do not know if you can.
    If not sorry.
I've included a link to the auction:
Royal UK - SHAVING STRAIGHT CUT THROAT RAZOR - R - eBay (item 320588557296 end time Oct-10-10 09:05:29 PDT)

The only requirement at the beginning is a carbon steel.

Give your $23 to a charity, it will be a better use of it. A new razor for that price including shipping might be good for buttering your bread.

I say no, don't buy that razor

Get a razor from the classifieds on this site, mate. I just had a look and there are a couple there for around $50. You'd be safer to do that than to risk and ebay find.
    Which is your first language?

It's rubbish. Follow the advice given so far & do not waste your money on that.
You'll learn nothing about shaving & may even be put off the whole experience altogether.

    Welcome to the site!

    Hello, Tomsky:

If I may suggest, since you are a newcomer to the straight razor, please stay off eBay. Buy your first razors from the Classified here or from any of the vendors listed at SRP. You may explore eBay later when you have more experienced with razors. The razor in the photo is a mystery, as I have never heard of the brand. Perhaps one of our razor experts will shed light on its origin.

    Regards,
    Obie
