Friends,

I've been toying with straights now for about a year, but really just purchased my first shave ready razor, its actually a WW2 Germany era razor. Very sharp, and staying that way with an old russian strop both of which were sold to me by an outstanding gent who frequents SRP. I've been shaving for a week and just had my first BBS today, outstanding. Got a slight nick on my chin but other than that, quite smooth. Besides my razor I'm using a Mulhe Silvertip and bowl with some Trumpers sandalwood soap, Taylor pre shaving oil, and some dominica bay rum.

I've got a Robert Williams restored W&B 8/8 coming in the mail, this 6/8 still pulls a bit on my chin, I have a heavy beard and I think the W&B is going to do nicely, best of all I have my little shaving station set up in a deployed location, really occupies some of the time over here. I look forward to interacting with all of you.
