I have yet to bother with the HHT test. Too much is made of it, I agree. What's important is how the razor shaves.

It's mostly all about the bevel. If it's not 100% you can tweak it with pastes etc to pass HHT & even give a shave of sorts but it won't last. Just shave it for a while without the paste & see how long you get before its uncomfortable. If you only get a few shaves till it starts tugging & you're sure of the steel then I'd bet the bevel is not optimal.
The worse is when there is science behind the HHT and there is level of performance like HHT-1 or HHT-2, ugh, I can't work with it, it's frustrating. :mace:
