I've never heard of them, but if they are in any way associated with the movie character, then the odds are good that they are crap in the same manner as Sweeney Todd razors.

No, they aren't from the movie!! I actually have one and I've been searching forever to try and find info on it! The razor says
    FRED . KRUGER
    Detroit Mich.
    Germany
On the other side it says "BLACKUTTER"
This razor is my great grandfathers, he got it when he got out of barber school way back in the 20s or 30s. I'd love more info on it

Words are worth as many words as there are but pictures are worth...well you know. Show some pics. I have been to Detroit Michigan in the U.S., but never been to Detroit Michigan in Germany.

I didn't get a chance to measure the blade before I left my grandparents house, and I can't tell what the scales are made of. It is 1/2 Hollow though. It's in very good condition. It has a wonderful patina from being used hundreds of times on my great grandad's customers and himself. There's barely any rust and minimal pitting
As for the whole Michigan/Germany thing, my best guess is it was made in Germany and sold through Detroit? Maybe? I really don't know

Well, dang it. Sorry I didn't know they were gonna show up sideways

Well its definitely older than the movies haha. Thats a neat little razor. Are you planning on using it? BTW nice first couple of posts schooling us on some razors. Maybe the blade is German steel?
